My tryst with OnePoll began in the end of last year. So far, I have about 39.90. Yes! Just waiting for a trickle of 10p to take my first payout!
When I came to know about these survey sites, I wasted no time in immediately registering with all the survey sites that I can get my hands to. But OnePoll has so far been the fairest (fav) of them all - the surveys are simple, and least time consuming! And more than that, you don't have to keep entering your demographic details time and again for each survey that you take. Believe me, after a while that does get really irritating! Also I don't get screened out, after almost completing the survey. When you sign up with them, they start you of with a 2.50£ bonus as well.
At the other side of the coin -
- the rewards for the individual surveys are pretty low - mostly 10p, 15p, and the odd 20p and 25p. But that should not deter you, the number of surveys you get more that make up for it and the surveys are also very short.
- The payout is only at 40£. So you really have to up your perseverance. It has taken me about 6 months to get there - but to be fair, I was on vacation for a month and I had the non enviable task of buying our first property.
Once you reach payout, the reward is in the form of BACS or pay-pal. I have read about other users complain about the lack of surveys once you are near payout. I have been struck at 39.90£ for a week!
You can refer up to 5 friends and earn 50p for each referral. When they reach 20£, you get 1£; When they reach 40£, you get 2.50£.
You would not get an email alert when surveys are available - Generally many surveys would be available in the morning (around 9am), afternoon(around 1-2pm), and evening around 4pm. I have generally found Fridays to be bumper days... there seems to be more surveys on Fridays than any other days. Also, One-poll works our time - ie there are no survey after evening or during the weekends.

One more thing to remember is, the surveys are removed as when the quota for it is reached - so sometimes while filling up your survey you might have to miss out even though you were close to completion. So always, choose the higher valued ones first and try and submit it as quick as possible.
There is an iPhone App for OnePoll - the surveys that you do there are different to the surveys on the website. But to be frank, till date I have not got a single survey on it. So no hurry to download it.
